However, the green season (May to November) brings lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and lower rates. Both seasons offer warm temperatures averaging 28-33°C (82-91°F). Yes, a valid passport is required for entry into Costa Rica. Citizens of the United States, Canada, and most European countries do not need a visa for stays up to 90 days. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond your planned travel dates. We recommend checking with your country's travel advisory for the latest entry requirements.
